Keltham waits and continues answering; he's pretty sure it's right to wait longer than this for everyone to be done, even if that means dismissing the finished students and keeping the others behind. Chelish people seem to get it very suddenly, when they see the implicit assumption they weren't questioning, and that seems like an important life experience for them. ...in somewhat less time than he was afraid it would take, Keltham announces they're done.
