Keltham reaches out a hand to touch Carissa's head, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

(Part of him notes it's strange that she'd have long hair while fighting demons; but he did kind of see that part, the giant things, right when he showed up, it's not a likely place to catch a deception.  It's not like Carissa said she fought demons by punching them; maybe for magic, hair length doesn't matter -)

He wants to ask if Carissa is ready, but it's the wrong move, it's not about what he wants, the way she said over and over to focus on.  Still part of him wants so much to check, to hear a word telling him it's safe to continue -

Try it.  Try it the way she says just once.  If she says he got it horribly wrong, he can undo it.

"Hold still until, I tell you that you can move again," Keltham says, with only a slight break in his voice.
